Obituary for Rose Marie Davis

PEORIA-Rose Marie Davis, 79, of Peoria, passed away at 6:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 1, 1931, in Ashland, Illinois to William Harry and Mary Isabelle Kinney Devine. They preceded her in death. She married Conrad “Bud” Davis of Virginia, Illinois on March 24, 1951. He passed away on February 2, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny, one daughter, Dawn, one son-in-law, Steven Lehner, two sisters, June and Kay “Mary”, and four brothers, Frank, Johnny, Benjamin and William. She is survived by one brother, James Devine; four daughters, Donna “Robin” Lehner, Dina (Gene) Walker, Dale (Michael) Wilkins and Darla Davis; and one son, Jeffrey. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Renee, Lee, Aaron, Chris, Roseanne, Stephanie, Ashlee, Alycce, Jeremy and Justin; 16 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Kaydence, Kaleb, Jessica, Josalyn, Jianna, Pierce, Carissa, Chloe, Steven, Reagan, Thaddeus, Mystique, Tatyanna, Jathaniel, Brooklin; and many nieces and nephews. She worked at Sharon Health Care for 18 ½ years. She was a Charter member of Holy Family Church. She loved working out in her yard and playing solitary games on her computer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia, Illinois. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
