Obituary for Willi Phillips
WILLI PHILLIPS PEORIA-Aura Wilna “Willi” Phillips, 99, of Lincoln, IL and formerly of Peoria, passed away at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at The Christian Village in Lincoln, IL. She was born on January 11, 1909 in Lawn Ridge, IL to Robert O. and Jessie Timmons Green. She is survived by two nephews, Gary E. Pueschel of Marietta, GA and Dr. J. Bradley Pueschel of Peoria; and two nieces, Carolyn Maurer of Mansfield, OH and Nancy Turner of Lincoln, IL. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. She was a secretary for AARP and secretary for the National Fertilizer Association. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Willi received national recognition in Hand Weaving and Fabric Designing. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with Rev. Terry Carlton officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Henry Cemetery in Henry, IL.
