Obituary for Gertrude F. Moore
Peoria- Gertrude F. Moore, age 88, passed away at 1:15 AM, Thursday, December 14, 2017 at UnityPoint Methodist in Peoria.
Gertrude was born, July 25, 1929 in Henry, IL., a daughter of Emmett and Jennie (Cluskey) Finnegan. She married Samuel J. “Jim” Moore on October 25, 1958 in Henry, IL. He preceded her in death December 8, 1997 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Kelly Moore and three sisters.
Gertrude worked as a secretary at Travelers Insurance retiring in 1981.
She is survived by one son, John Moore and one sister, Dorothy Barrett, both of Peoria. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, with a one hour prior visitation. Fr. David Richardson will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial of Ashes will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Henry, IL., at a later date.
