Obituary for Tina Lynn Larson

Tina Lynn Larson, 43, of Peoria, IL passed away while vacationing in London, England on March 1, 2011. She was born January 5, 1968 in Peoria to Jim and Rita Duncan (Moore). She married Stephen Larson on May 19, 2001 in Peoria. He survives along with daughter Alexa Duncan and grandson Jaxon Harrmann , both of Peoria, her parents of Morton, IL., Brothers Jim (Amy) Duncan of Chattanooga, TN and Tom Duncan of Los Angeles, CA., one nephew James Thomas Duncan of Chattanooga, TN. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and dear friends. Tina was a graduate of East Peoria High School and Bradley University. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, where she joined in her 20’s to strengthen her faith and relationship with the Lord. Tina is best defined by the love she had for her family and friends, it was strong, passionate and demonstrated each day. She especially loved being a mother and grandmother, cherished her parents and brothers, and was a gift and a blessing to her husband, Steve. Her many friends also added special meaning to her life. She loved life and was particularly interested in architecture, history and politics. In recent years she took up golf and enjoyed playing with her friends and her husband. She was strong, intelligent and principled, and at the same time was the most loving and fun person you could know. She was a generous contributor to the community and was dearly loved by all those she touched. Her family and friends are struggling to accept her passing. While our need for Tina is great, we can only conclude God’s need is greater. The love she gave and shared remains with us in our hearts. She is gone but never forgotten, and will be forever missed. We pray that the deep loneliness we feel will be healed with God’s grace and mercy. There will be a private visitation Friday March 11, 2011 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Thomas Church in Peoria Heights. Msgr. William A. Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. A luncheon will be held following the burial in the St. Thomas Church Parish Hall. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Easter Seals UCP, 507 E.
