Obituary for Thomas W. Jacquin

PEORIA-Thomas W. Jacquin, 76, of Peoria, passed away at 7:36 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Emergency Room. He was born on August 16, 1931 in Peoria to Homer S. and Honor Murphy Jacquin. He married Pixie Costigan on May 7, 1983 in Peoria. She survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Katherine (David) Broshous of Denver, CO; three sons, Stephen B. Jacquin of Crystal Lake, IL, Bill (Ann) Fulton of Peoria and Stephen (Stacey) Fulton of Des Moines, IA; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Janet L. Keithley and M. L. Jacquin both of Peoria; and two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a graduate of Spalding Institute and a 1953 graduate of Bradley University. Tom was the owner of Jacquin & Co. Office Products in Peoria and also owner of Space Age Travel Agency. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and an active member of Cursillo in Christianity. Tom took great joy in his grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Thomas Church with Msgr. William Watson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the church with recitation of the rosary at 7:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be 30 minutes before the mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Education Fund or Building Fund or Cursillo in Christianity. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com
