Obituary for Thomas J. Howe
Peoria Heights- Thomas J. Howe, age 65, of Peoria Heights, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Loyal University Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Thomas was born May 27, 1952, in Peoria, a son of Harold L. and Margaret J. (Nelson) Howe. He met his wife, Prasert Saepang, in Thailand and they married June 10, 1974. She survives. Also surviving are their three children; Charlie (Elise) Howe of Schaumberg, Jonathon Howe of Peoria Heights, and Scott (Lindsay) Howe of Suffolk, VA., four grandchildren; James, Brooke, Breelyn and Elliott, two brothers; Pete Howe of Arlington Heights, IL., and Michael Howe of Greenville, IL., and three sisters; Joann Payne of Streamwood, IL, Kathy Getz of Beach Park, IL, and Mary (Dennis) Marfell of Washington, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Howe.
Thomas proudly served in the US Air Force in the Vietnam War. He worked as a printer for Royal Publishing until his retirement. Thomas was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Wright and Salmon Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights, with a hour prior visitation, also at the church. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate. Burial, with full Military Honors, will be at 1:30 PM, Monday October 2, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
