Tho and five of his children migrated to Peoria, Illinois in 1992. His wife, oldest daughter, and one son stayed back in VietNam due to the son’s chronic illness. He eventually reunited with his wife, the love of his life, in 2005, and his oldest daughter along with her family in 2011.
