Obituary for Theresa M Finan
PEORIA-Theresa M. Finan, 73 of Peoria, died at 9:22 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2006 at her residence. Born on November 10, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Earl and Alice Powell Helterbridle. Surviving are three daughters; Anne Fleming of West Bend, Wisc., Regina (Woody) Hartwell of Peoria and Julia (Rich) Peraud of St. Louis, and four sons; Michael (Diane) Finan of Des Moines, Iowa, Christopher (Krissy) Finan of Peoria, Nicholas (Kim) Finan of League City, Texas and Anthony (Sheila) Finan of Round Lake Beach, Illinois; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Theresa retired from AOL/Spalding Institute and Peoria Notre Dame High Schools as a teacher. She was a member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Philomena Catholic Church, She was a member of Master Gardiner, St. Philomena School Board and involved with OSF Hospice. For 15 years, she was Editor of the Monthly Book Page in the Catholic Post. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Philomena Church with Rev. Donald Henderson, Rev. John Dietzen and Msgr. Charles Beebe officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the church with a Scripture service at 7:30 pm. Further visitation will be ½ hour before services at the church on Friday. Wright and Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.
