Obituary for Theodore "Ted" Schlink

Peoria-Theodore Schlink was born in Peoria, Illinois on Oct. 2, 1928, to Theodore and Margery Thurlow Schlink.  Ted died April 10, 2017, in Walnut Creek, California. 

Surviving are his wife, Dawn Nelson Schlink, sons, Ted III and Bill, daughters, Christine Bogard and JoJo (Dan) Dahlhauser, 6 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, (all in California), and his sister, Margie Wagner of Peoria.  His parents, first wife, Joan, daughter, Donna, and brother, Roger, preceded him in death.

Ted graduated from Spalding Institute in 1946, spent 2 years at St. Ambrose College, receiving his BS degree from Northwestern U. in Evanston, Illinois.  He was a Korean War veteran.  He moved his wife and family of 5 children from Illinois to California in the early 1960's.  He owned and operated TASCO West, home based in the Merchandise Mart in San Francisco.  Ted loved selling, and enjoyed talking about the stock market, the weather, politics, and especially his family and relatives.

There was a Memorial Mass for Ted on April 25, 2017, at St. Mary's Church in Walnut Creek, California. 

Mass will take place at St. Philomena Church on Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 AM, with no visitation. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Ted's name.
