Obituary for Terry L. Furst
PEORIA-Terry L. Furst, 65, of Peoria, passed away at 2:47 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Greater Peoria Specialty Hospital in Peoria. He was born on July 30, 1945, in Peoria to Silvis and Marjorie Booth Furst. He married Nona Doubet in Mapleton, IL. She survives. Terry is also survived by two sons, Craig (Joann) Furst of Mossville and Chad (Vicki Leny) Furst of Tunnel Hill, IL; and one grandson, Cody, his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He was an Assemblyman at Caterpillar, Inc. until he retired. Terry was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a member of Mapleton Christian Church. He loved antique cars. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with Rev. Keith Huff officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary and 30 minutes before the services. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens where Military Rites will be accorded.
