Peoria Heights - Ted Ruck Lovestrand, 52, of Peoria Heights passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009, at OSF Saint Francis Forest Park. He was born on December 26, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Gordon and Carlanne (Ruck) Lovestrand. Ted married his lovely bride Georgean Smith in Geneva, IL, on May 20, 1998; she survives. Surviving are one son; Ted Lovestrand II of Pekin; one daughter MacKenzie Lovestrand of Pekin; step-daughter Heather (Alan) Barbor of Belvidere; step-daughter Jennifer Smith of Chicago; granddaughter Chloee Toro of Chicago; grandson Christopher Barbor of Belvidere; sister Tracy (James Boyle) Lovestrand of Peoria; brothers Tom (Marian Cosmides) Lovestrand of Des Plaines and Tyler (Ashley) Lovestrand of Peoria; nieces and nephews Jennifer Lovestrand, Connor Boyle, Jordon Boyle, Joshua Boyle, Chelsea Lovestrand, and Peyton Lovestrand; Uncle Bill (Bev) Ruck of Peoria; Aunt Shirlee (Fred) Collins of Hoffman Estates and Marilyn Lovestrand of Burnsville, MN. Ted was preceded in death by mother Carlanne Lovestrand (May 24, 2009), his father Gordon Lovestrand (September 2, 2008), and his Uncle Duane Lovestrand (August 23, 2007). Ted was a graduate of Richwoods High School and attended Southern Illinois University majoring in accounting through 1981. Ted was a sales representative for Norandex Building Products (1981-1983) in Wisconsin and Ashley Aluminum (1983-1985) in Florida/North Carolina; he formed his own company TRL Artisans (1985-2000); and built Super Sports Bar which is located in South Pekin in 1991. He was a 25 plus year member of the LIUNA (Laborers International Union of North America) out of Locals 872, 32 and currently Local 165 in Peoria. “Sweetheart”, “Daddio”, “Bro”, “Teddy Bear”, thank you for your love, your quirky sense of humor, your gregarious nature, and the memories that we will always carry with us. You have made us laugh through the tears and have eased our pain in losing you knowing that we were so loved and we have been made stronger from that love to go forward. The “office” will never be the same but Mac, George, Bear and Star will carry on! We also know that you will be at every Green Bay Packer and St. Louis Cardinal game! Say hello to your Mom, Dad and Uncle Duane for us and give Teddi girl a hug! Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
