Obituary for Tacy A. Cicciarelli

PEORIA- Tacy A. Cicciarelli, 55, of 3028 North Sheridan Road, Peoria passed away at 4:47 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center. She was born on December 17, 1956 in Great Lakes, IL to James and Bette Burke Tucker. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband and "best friend" Paul U. Cicciarelli, whom she married on February 14, 1998 at the St. George Orthodox Church in Spring Valley, IL. Also surviving Tacy are two daughters, Reena Sibley of Chicago and Alexandra Sibley; one step-son, Joshua (Judy) Cicciarelli of Peoria; a sister, Jaime Queenin of California; a nephew, Jeremy Queenin of California; a sister-in-law, Joann (Tom) Luebbers; a nephew, Thomas Luebbers; and a niece, Rebecca (Cayce) Klaff. Tacy was an amazing special education teacher for students with behavior disorders at the Day Treatment Center. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi. She was a member of the St. Elias Antiochian Christian Orthodox Mission in Peoria. Tacy enjoyed miniature doll house construction and ballroom dancing. She enjoyed a variety of intellectual and artistic pursuits. Her Orthodox Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the St. Elias Antiochian Christian Orthodox Mission, 2515 North Sheridan Road, Peoria. Rev. Fr. Habib Ghautous and the Very Rev. Fr. Gregory Buss of St. George Orthodox Church in Spring Valley, IL will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with the Trisagion Prayer at 7 PM. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM at the St. George Orthodox Cemetery in Spring Valley, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Tacy was much loved by her family and also had many great friends, fellow teachers, and students who loved her very much.
