Obituary for Susan Lynn Buxton
Peoria ~ Susan Buxton, 76, of Peoria, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at her home.
Susan was born September 20, 1946 in Indianola, Iowa and was raised by her parents, Arlene (Duncan) and Bob Courtney. She married Albert Richard Buxton on April 10, 1965 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2020 in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law, Robert Davidson.
Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (John) Ellington of Chillicothe and Jennifer Davidson of Plainfield; two grandsons, Stephen Lindell and Seth Davidson, both of Plainfield; one brother, Bobby (Cindy) Courtney of Morton; and her sister, Anna Burgess of Chillicothe.
Susan had worked in accounts receivable for OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, retiring in 2006 after over 10 years of service.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and attending her grandson’s sporting activities over the years.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Wright & Salmon Mortuary in Peoria. There will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
