Obituary for Susan Eileen Danz
Washington- Susan Eileen Danz, age 64, of Washington, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 PM Friday, June 24, 2016.
Born November 11, 1949 in Peoria, she was a daughter to the late Roy “Tiny” and Doris Hopple Danz. Sue was a life long resident of Washington having been raised on the family farm along Centennial drive. She was very proud of her family farm and was proud to be called a farmer’s daughter because of her close relationship with her father, Tiny Danz. Sue loved bowling, listening to music and dancing. She was an avid movie watcher and collector.
Sue truly knew what it meant to have a good time, make memories, and to laugh. She enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds especially her hummingbirds. Sue loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren who she frequently visited in Arizona. She will be remembered as having a vivacious spirit who was always happy and loved life, especially when she was able to travel with her two best friends. She was dearly loved by all, never knew a stranger, and will truly be missed.
Survivors include three children; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter Pamela.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 between the hours of 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate, and burial will follow in Fon Du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials in Sue’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
