Obituary for Sophie Lamprecht
Peoria- Sophie Lamprecht, 97, of Peoria died at 4:47 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Manor Care Health Services in Peoria. Born May 18, 1910, in Obing, Germany, to Georg and Maria Saurer Ober, she married Frank Lamprecht on September 8, 1930, in Germany. He died February 2, 1970, in Peoria. Sophie was also preceded in death by a nephew John Ober, whom she helped raise, 6 sisters, and 8 brothers. Surviving are 1 Daughter Rosemary (Don) Swanson of Peoria, 2 Grandchildren: Marci (Brian) Linne of Peoria, and Adam (Mandy) Coates, of Denver and 2 Step Grandchildren: David (Kelly) Swanson and Michael (Jennifer) Swanson, both of Peoria. Nine Great Grandchildren also survive. Sophie was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, OSF St. Francis Women’s Auxillary, and the German/American Society. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, 11:30 a.m. at her church, the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Philomena School Endowment Fund or Manor Care Health Services in Peoria. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
