Obituary for Sara L. Wickert
PEORIA – Sara L. Wickert, 30, of Peoria passed away at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her family. Sara was born on May 25, 1984, in Peoria to Kenneth J. II and Carol A. (Schlink) Wickert. They both survive. She is also survived by two sisters, Julie Wickert of Washngton, Ill., and Cassie Wickert of Peoria; her grandmother Barbara Schlink of Peoria; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David Schlink and Jack and LaVerne Wickert; and her cousin, Lauren Davis Schlink. Sara worked in the packaging department at the Community Workshop Training Center (CWTC) and was on their bowling team. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father Dustin Schultz will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. An additional visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois or the Community Workshop Training Center (CWTC).
