Obituary for Ruthann Chamberlain
Peoria- Ruthann Chamberlain, 79, of Peoria Heights passed away at 8:58 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at her residence.
Ruthann was born on April 2, 1937, in Peoria to Gus and Frances (Ford) Dively. She married Milton Chamberlain on March 29, 1980. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her three daughters, Christina (Jack) Rutigliano of Peoria Heights, Teresa (Chuck) Smith of Hopewell, Ellen Miller of Peoria; son-in-law Kenneth Mathews of Peoria Heights; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters, Jean (Fred) Shadid of Peoria and Eileen Diveley of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William and Bobby Diveley; daughter, Katherine Mathews; and her son-in-law, Marty Ehrat.
She had a love for music, singing, playing the piano, and flower arranging.
She was a devoted member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and dedicated herself to her family as a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Father Thomas Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church.
