Obituary for Ronald E. Emig
Peoria- Ronald E. Emig, age 92, of Peoria, passed away at 11:40 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Lutheran Hillside Village.
Born September 04, 1925 in Vermont, Illinois, he was a son to Solomon and Mary (Mendenhall) Emig. On November 06, 1953 he married the love of his life Florence Kramer in East Moline. She preceded him in death in 1996. Ronald worked for Caterpillar as well as Federal Warehouse, International Harvester, and Sherman’s. He was a jack-of-all-trades with an unmatched work ethic. Ronald was an avid and involved parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved socializing, always known to never know a stranger.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence, two brothers: Ed and Charles; three sisters: Margaret, Lula, and Shirley; as well as, Mary Ann and Lorraine Kramer with whom he made his home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 06, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Franciscans Friars will officiate and burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials in Ronald’s memory may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer’s Research Association.
