Obituaries
Roger A. Kaiser, 77, a lifelong Chillicothe resident passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home. He was born on November 10, 1943 in Peoria to Roger L. and Mary Jane (Lilya) Kaiser who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Sally (McCarthy) Kaiser, whom he married on April 1, 1967 in Peoria, daughter Stephanie (Gordon) Fiddes, son Mark Kaiser, granddaughter Sarah Fiddes, grandson Bryce Kaiser, great granddaughter Molly Malone and sisters Susan (Howard) Dunlap and Sally Holifield.
Roger served proudly as a radio operator for an Intelligence Unit with the United States Army. He worked as a pressman for International Paper, operated his own painting company, sat on the Three Sisters Park Advisory Board and proudly volunteered his services at Proctor Hospital up until the time of his death.
He was an avid waterfowl hunter, belonging to Ducks Unlimited and was a devoted fan of both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 12:00 PM with visitation at the Church one hour prior. Fr. Andru O’Brien will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of Ashes will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Children’s Hospital Heller Center for Kids with Cancer.
