Obituary for Robert Lewis Brammeier
PEORIA ~ Robert Lewis Brammeier, 61, of Peoria, passed away at 6:16 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria.
He was born September 21, 1960 in Peoria to Robert H. and Bette L. (Tuscher) Brammeier. His parents and two brothers, George and Fred Brammeier preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Robert (Bailey) Brammeier, Eric (Jonae) Brammeier and James (Cyndie Robinson) Brammeier, all of Jacksonville, Illinois; three grandsons, Emerson, Elliott and Emmett; and one sister, Lee Ann Brammeier.
Robert had served the the United States Navy from 1979 until discharge in 1986.
He went on to work as a retail manager in the service industry.

He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus, AMVETS and Boy Scouts of America.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed watching the Cardinals beat the Cubs. His last wish was for everyone to be happy.
His funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Monsignor Jason Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with recitation of the Rosary at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Cemetery in Jerseyville, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations of food to the St. Thomas Food Bank, or to the estate of Robert L. Brammeier.
