Obituary for Robert Gene "Bob" Johann, Sr.

Peoria- Robert Gene (Bob) Johann, Sr., age 84, of Peoria, passed away peacefully at 6:40 PM on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence.

Born July 31, 1934, he was a graduate of Eureka High School and earned his bachelors degree from Eureka College. He held numerous job positions, most recently retiring in 2000 from Hagerty Brothers. On October 9, 2014 he married Ellen Kipfer in Cape Coral, FL. She survives. Bob enjoyed piloting his own plane, his many trips to Cape Coral, and watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs with his son Chip.

Survivors include his wife Ellen (Kipfer) Johann of Peoria; 5 children: Becky Nunally, Peg (John) Sauder, Liz (David) Rebmann, Chip Johann, and Robert (Lisa) Johann, Jr.;
3 stepchildren: Robbie (Sinead) Frankel, Samantha (Matt) Smith and Clay Frankel; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister Susie (Merit) Riddlebauer.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Olio Township Cemetery. Father David Kipfer will officiate.
