Obituary for Robert J. Crombie, Jr.

Peoria- Robert J. Crombie, Jr., age, 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his residence in Peoria, IL.

Robert was born October 19, 1923, in Peoria, a son of Robert J. and Amelia (Smith) Crombie, Sr.
He is survived by two children; Lloyd A. Crombie of Washington, IL., and Elizabeth M. Crombie of Colchester, IL., seven grandchildren; Janelle Lowery, Daniel Marlin, Sean Crombie, Amelia Christy, Heather Crombie, Heidi Crombie and Bryon Cortez-Crombie and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Crombie.

Robert proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting then later worked as a Comptroller for Glazebrook Fire Equipment in Washington, IL for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 661 in Washburn, IL.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with burial of ashes following at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.
