Obituary for Raquel McFall

Raquel McFall, 58, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday September 17, 2020 at UnityPoint
Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. She died of unexpected health complications
unrelated to Covid-19.

Raquel was born in Puebla, Mexico on November 17, 1961. She was preceded in death by her
beloved mother, Catalina Tamayo.

She is survived by her two children, Alejandra and Eduardo Hernandez; her 7 grandchildren;
her two brothers Jorge Lopez and Serafin Lopez and her husband of 17 years, Thomas McFall.
Raquel cherished her family, her kids, and especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Peoria, Illinois where she was an active volunteer of their Loaves and Fish feeding ministry. She loved to serve the Lord; she was a prayer warrior always thinking about others in need of prayer.

Raquel loved working at the Salvation Army where she met people from all walks of life and
touched so many hearts. She was kind, sweet, and welcoming to every person she encountered
and never met a stranger. Raquel had a heart for connecting with others, she was a light to this
world. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, hugs and joyful spirit.

Your life was a blessing, a testimony to us all. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 5:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Peoria, Illinois. Pastor Adrian Garcia will officiate. Burial of ashes will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00 am in Glendale Cemetery in Washington, IL. .
