Obituary for Ralph E. Hamilton

Glasford- Ralph E. Hamilton, 66, of Glasford, died at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2005 at his residence. Born January 9, 1940 in McLeansboro,Il. To William C. and Alice Culpepper Hamilton, he was raised by his stepmother Cleda Hamilton. He married June R. Roth, June 18, 1960 in Peoria. She survives along with one daughter: Allyson (Ed) Patton of Glasford, two sons: Ralph E.(Nicole) Hamilton of Peoria and Scott M.(Amy) Hamilton of Bartonville. One brother: Robert (Mary) Hamilton of Peoria, two stepsisters: Aileen Pullen of Chicago and Ann Buckman of Florissant, Mo. Ten grandchildren and one great grandson also survive. Ralph was preceded in death by one infant daughter Jeannine, and one infant grandson Nathan. Two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death. Ralph first worked at Pabst Brewery for twenty two years. He then worked as a Chef for Methodist Medical Center for forty eight years, the last thirty five serving as head chef. He also received numerous awards while at Methodist. He was an Army Reservist for six years. Ralph was a member of Pentecostals of Peoria Church. He also did volunteer work at different Christian Schools and cooked at church functions. A Funeral Service will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at his church, with Bishop James Lashley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Further visitation will be half hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
