Obituary for Phyllis L. Hineman

PEORIA HEIGHTS-Phyllis L. Hineman, 80, of Peoria Heights, and formerly of Logansport, Indiana, passed away at 3:28 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at OSF Saint Clare Home. She was born on July 10, 1930, in Boswell, Indiana she was the daughter of Linden and Bessie Gattrell Snider. She married Robert N. Hineman, who died June 16, 1988 in Indianapolis, IN. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Billie M. Davis. Surviving are one daughter, Dr. Vicky (Dr. Doug) Loberg of Peoria; two grandchildren, Katie Loberg and Christopher Loberg both of Peoria. Mrs. Hineman retired as a bookkeeper from Palumbo Distributing Company and later worked in the cafeteria at Columbia School in Logansport. She was active in All Saints Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella in Logansport, where she was also a fifty year member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. After moving to Peoria to be closer to her family, Phyllis was active at St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a volunteer at Proctor Community Hospital. She was also a member of the Catholic Women’s League. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Msgr. William Watson will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary and one hour before the Mass at the church. A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday at the chapel at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.
