Obituary for Pete Page

Peoria- Royce I. “Pete” Page, 77, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 12:05 p.m. at his residence. Born September 27, 1934 in Palymra, MO., to Oren and Edna Lukie Page, he married Joan Short March 21, 1975 in Garden Prairie, Il. She survives, along with two daughters, Sam Hoggatt and Chritty (Steven) Harper, both of Peoria, three grandchildren, Joshua (Gina) Hoggatt of Pekin, Zachary Harper of Portland, Ore., and Travis Harper of Peoria. One brother Paul (Bernice) Page of Garden Prairie, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Pete was preceded in death by two brothers, O.D. and Ronald, who was his twin, and a sister in law. He worked for Peoria Blacktop as a Master Mechanic for many years. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #649, and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. He also served his country as an Army Veteran. A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with Fr. Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Building Fund, or the Charity of donor’s choice. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com
