Obituary for Patricia L Ring
Peoria- Patricia L. Ring, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Proctor Hospital.
Pat was born January 7, 1939 in Cerro Gordo Township IL to Jesse P. Curry Sr. and Velda L. Ehrhardt Curry. She married Bernard L. Ring on August 17, 1957. He passed away in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Kathleen (Ring) Duda, two brother-in-law's Bob and Dick Ring and sister-in-law Pat Ring.
Surviving are her Son, Bernard "Bernie" Ring of Peoria, grandson Bernard "B" Ring of Peoria and granddaughter Desiree Ring and Callie Heneger of Bartonville, grandson Robbie Duda of Mossville. Niece's Stephanie Ring, Trish Wilson, Lynda McDonough and Nephew Bobby Ring.
Also surviving are her Sister's Jeri (Bob) Myers of Peoria, Faye (Jack) Hill of E. Peoria, Brother's Paul (Donna) Curry of Mossville, Phillip "Pete" (Nancy) Curry of Laurel MT, Mike (Mary) Curry of Metamora, Jim (Mary) Curry of Washington, Tom (Carlene) Curry of Chillicothe, T. Joseph Curry of Peoria and Uncle Robert “Bob” (Eva) Curry of Homosassa, Florida. Also many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins on the Curry side and was dearly loved by all.
Pat was a 1957 graduate of Woodruff High School. She retired after working many years at the banks downtown that eventually became Associated Bank.
Pat volunteered at St. Augustine Manor for many years doing office work, gardening for the Manor and taking residents to doctor appointments.
She was a member of St. Peter's and St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
She loved her pets, little Chet and Jethro who she named after her favorite actor from NCIS Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
She enjoyed gardening, looking for figures in the Clouds on a sunny day. She was a second Mom to most of our children. She was a prayerful lady who loved Jesus and his mother Mary. She was very generous to others in need and many Christian Charities.
And as Pat would say “ALL IS WELL”
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 between the hours of 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with a Recitation of the Rosary at 4:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday June 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church with an additional visitation one half hour prior to mass. Msgr. Stanley Deptula will officiate and burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat’s name to Taps and St. Jude.
