Obituary for Patricia Denton
Peoria- Patricia Denton, 85, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home in Peoria.
Pat was born on December 13, 1935 in Pittsfield, IL, a daughter of George Loren and Flora (DeSpain) Main.
She married Robert Denton on December 29, 1956 at St. Mark’s Church in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2021.
Pat is survived by children Robert Mark (Chris) Denton, Lisa (Kevin) Moore, Tom Denton, Kathy Landmark, Robert Lee (Stephanie) Denton Jr., her Grandchildren Ginney (Cory) Batterton, Adam Landmark, Evan Landmark, Alyxandria Landmark and Emily Landmark, Shannon Moore, Trisha Moore, Mallory Denton, Vanessa Denton as well as Great-Grandchildren Mia Batterton and Capri Fulton.
Pat spent many years singing barbershop with the Belles of Harmony chapter of the Sweet Adelines. As a member of Mt. Hawley Country Club, she enjoyed playing golf and tennis, as well as afternoon Bridge games with friends.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with a one hour prior visitation until time of Mass. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate and entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Pat’s name to St. Jude or your favorite charity, or pay it forward with a random act of kindness in her memory since she was so generous and kind to so many.
