Obituary for Patricia A. Impinto

PEORIA-Patricia “Patti” Anne Impinto, 65, of Peoria, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010, at her residence after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Patti was born on May 12, 1945, in Peoria, to Jack and Mary Anna Kirchgessner Peavler. She married her soul mate Ciro N. Impinto on March 19, 1977, in Peoria. He survives. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Anna Peavler of Necedah, WI; four daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Boyer of Williamsfield, IL, Nikole (Justin) Chandler of Washington, IL, Kristen (Todd) Heaton of Springfield, IL and Debbi Davis of Peoria; nineteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jan (Linda) Peavler of Peoria and John (Margaret) Peavler of Chicago; and one sister, Bernadette Peavler of Necedah, WI. She was preceded in death by her father; her son-in-law, Tim Davis; and one brother. Patti was a pre-school teacher, first teaching at University United Methodist Pre-School, then for the YWCA, also St. Vincent de Paul Pre-School and last teaching at St. Mark’s Pre-School, retiring in 2009. Patti impacted many lives through her 23 years of teaching. She was very creative, talented and had passion beyond means. She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, with Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary and thirty minutes before the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ciro Impinto for Patti’s medical and funeral expenses at CEFCU. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to
