Obituaries
FARMINGTON - Patricia A. Bozsoki, 84, of Farmington passed away at 5 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Farmington Country Manor.
Patricia was born on Aug. 29, 1931, in Peoria to the late Herbert A. and Mary Grimm. She married the love of her life, John A. Bozsoki, on Nov. 3, 1951, at St. Mary Cathedral. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2016.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David Patrick Bozsoki; in-laws, Alex and Margarite Bozsoki; brother, Herbert Grimm; sister, Phyllis Bohart; brother-in-law, Jerry Bohart; and sister-in-law, Margaret Bozsoki.
She is survived by her children, Mark J (Chris) Bozsoki of Mesa, Ariz., Mike (Dina) Bozsoki of Lebanon, Tenn., John (Debbie) Bozsoki of Farmington, and Peggy (Dave) Rose of Farmington; 15 grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Bozsoki, Amy (Jacob Booze) Bozsoki, Jason (Sara) Reed, Niki (Rose) (Craig) Overcash, Justin (Jessica) Rose, Kevin (Katie) Reed, Eric Rose, Kristin Reed, Emily (Bozsoki) (Derek) Williams, Heidi (Rose) (Mike) Walter, Anne Rose, Joey Rose, Mary Rose, Bree Bozsoki, and Matt Rose; 12 great-grandchildren, Micah Reed, Lydia Overcash, Zaiah Reed, Jonah Reed, Jackson Booze, West Bozsoki, Addyson Overcash, Brooklyn Booze, Quintin Rose, Ezrah Reed, Sadie Rose, and Cali Grace Bozsoki. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Grimm; sister, Sylvia (Greg) Sander of Morton; brother, David (Mary) Grimm of East Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia graduated from Academy of Our Lady in 1949. She worked at Great Central Insurance Company, Paul J Haggerty Equipment Company, Sheridan Bank, and Bergner’s.
She was a devoted to her family and being a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and golf, which she did for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and, along with her husband, was a world traveler. After John’s retirement, they spent many winters on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Ala.
Patricia was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Farmington, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and lector. She and John attended many religious locations, such as Medjugorje and Fatima.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2016, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Father Paul Steine will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
