Obituary for Nguyen D. Ngo
PEORIA-Nguyen D. Ngo, 75 of 607 Phelps in Peoria, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at his residence. Born on October 10, 1930 in Bui Chu, Viet Nam to Ung and Hoa Tran Ngo. He married Mui Pham. She survives. Also surviving are ten children, Kiem (Phuong) Ngo of Germantown Hills, IL, Kiem II (Samantha) Ngo of Peoria, Chinh (Trang) Ngo of Orlando, FL, Thanh (Lien) Ngo of Merritt Island, FL, Thinh (Trang) Ngo of Huntsville, AL, Xuan (Rick) Ireland of Safety Harbor, FL, Vuong (Melissa) Ngo of Germantown Hills, IL, Tung Ngo of Clearwater, FL, Loan (Ba) Nguyen of Germantown Hills, IL and Minh Ngo of Tampa, FL; 15 grandchildren; and 1 brother and 2 sisters also survive in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Nguyen came to the United States in 1975. He worked at Carver Lumber until his retirement. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and served as Chairman of the Vietnamese Catholic Association in Peoria. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter’s Church with Rev. Thanh Chi Mai officiating. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. on Friday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with a one hour prayer service after the visitation.
