Nancy L. Myatt, of Sullivan, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Nancy was born on February 8, 1936, in Avon, IL, a daughter of the late Grace (Curtis) and N.E. Daley. She married John “Jack” Myatt on August 1, 1959. He survives. She formerly lived in Dunlap, IL, in Lake of the Woods. The family left Dunlap in 1982 and moved to Decatur, IL.
She graduated from Illinois State University, with a degree in teaching and started a legacy of 3 generations. She was the Underwriter in the Mortgage Department of the now defunct Soy Capital Bank for several years. Nancy enjoyed gardening and was a Master Gardener in her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Jeanne) Myatt of South Lylon, Michigan, their son, Mat (Vanya) great-granddaughter (Vaida): and daughter, Emily Myatt, her daughter Michelle (Rod) McClain of Findlay, IL, and their son, Ryan (Annie) and daughter, Amanda: her daughter, Maureen (Ray) Specht of Hooppole, IL and their son Jon, great-grandson. Ethan and great-granddaughter, Raylinn: son Kris, great-grandson Jax and great-granddaughter, Bryn: as well as her nephew, David (Michelle) Fitch and family and niece, Janice Fitch McCleery and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nedra Fitch Kessler.
A private family service will be held and burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date.
