Obituary for Nancy J. (Ginther) Prickett

Nancy J. (Ginther) Prickett, 82, found peace on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Reflections Memory Care in Washington, IL.
She was the daughter of Marvin (Earl) and Emma Cox. She was born on December 26, 1938. She first married Robert C. Ginther with whom she shared three children. She later married William Prickett.
Surviving Nancy are her number one son, Bob (Diane) Ginther, daughter, Michele Ginther-Lee (Robert Lee), granddaughters, Ronda (Jason) Long, and Shelby Lee, great granddaughters, Laney and Lexi Long, sister-in-law, Sharon (Ginther) Look, step-children, Dan Prickett and Barbara Garrido. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ron and husband, Bill.
Nancy worked many years in the savings and loan/banking industry. She loved to read and she loved her kitties. Time with family was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed many family shopping trips with her girls and lunch at Red Lobster or Olive Garden. She put together special Christmas stockings every year. She was always there for her family. She was a wonderful Mom and THE BEST Grandma. She cherished her granddaughters. Dementia robbed her of knowing Laney and Lexi, but she would have adored them.
The family would like to thank the staff at Reflections and Transitions Hospice for the love and care they provided Nancy.
Private graveside services will take place Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Pastor Steve Hardin will officiate.
Memorials may be made to TAPS, 100 TAPS Ln, Pekin, IL 61554.
Friends may sign the online guestbook or send condolences to www.wrightandsalmon.com
