Obituary for Michelle M. Healy-Connolly

PRINCEVILLE-Michelle M. Healy-Connolly, 76, of Princeville and formerly of Peoria, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Heritage Manor in Chillicothe with her children around her. Michelle was born on May 29, 1933 in St. Paul, MN to John A., Jr. and Charlotte A. Baker Healy. She married Joseph Connolly in 1953. Later married Eldon Wright in 1975. Michelle lived in Peoria and Princeville from 1967 to 1988. She moved to San Francisco, CA in 1988 and resided there until 2004. Michelle was a very wonderful mother and talented artist. She received a bachelor of fine arts in painting from San Francisco State University in 1996. Michelle loved to travel and visit with her family and many friends. She is survived by seven children, Pat (Joyce) Connolly of Peoria, Tom (Marylyn) Connolly of Indianapolis, IN, Jim (Martha) Connolly of Mondovi, WI, Michelle (Don) Higgins of Peoria, Dan Connolly of San Francisco, CA; Paul Connolly of San Francisco, CA and Tim (Johnetta) Connolly of Princeville, IL; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, John A. Healy III, Tom Healy and Chris Healy all of St. Paul, MN; and two sisters, Charlotte Healy of St. Paul, MN and Josephine (Ron) Lester of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rolland Healy. Michelle was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights and a former member of St. Mary of the Woods. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at St. Thomas Church with Msgr. William Watson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Additional visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Church Food Pantry or Heritage Manor. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com
