Obituary for Mary Patricia Seei

PEORIA-Mary Patricia (Cannon) Seei, 81, formerly of Peoria, IL and Bettendorf, IA died at 7:14 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2007 in the Naperville area, following a short illness. Mary was born March 16, 1926 in Canton to Thomas and Agnes Cashen Cannon. She married Emil J. Seei on January 3, 1948 in Peoria. He died May 27, 2000 in Naperville. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Cannon. Surviving are her five children, Ellen Cannon of Ottumwa, IA, Paula Cannon of Chicago, IL, Daniel (Terri) Seei of Chicago, IL, Gayle Szymanski of Oswego, IL, Gregory (Leslie) Seei of Villa Park, IL; five grandsons, three granddaughters; two great grandsons; one brother, Joseph (Peggy) Cannon of St. Louis, MO; two sisters-in-law, Harriet (Raymond) Schneider of Rivervale, NJ and Janice (Robert) Dean of Santa Anna, CA and twenty-five nieces and nephews. Mary was a graduate of The Academy of Our Lady, Peoria, Class of “44. She attended the College of St. Theresa in Winona, MN. She lived the majority of her life in Peoria. In addition, Mary maintained and valued many close, lifetime friendships. Mary loved to laugh. She will be remembered for her kindness and her smile. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1st at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. Brian Brownsey officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary with recitation of the rosary at 7:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to www.wrightandsalmon.com
