She was an avid golfer and a charter member of Timberlake Country Club. Mary Jane was a long-time member of the Peoria Women’s 18 Hole Golf League as well as the Timberlake Women’s Golf League. One of the highlights of her golfing “career” was the hole-in-one she made at a tournament in Fort Madison, Iowa in the 1980’s. Mary Jane was a devout Catholic, attending daily mass and faithfully reciting the Rosary. While her children attended St. Mark School, Mary Jane enthusiastically participated in the annual St. Mark Stunt Shows. Mary Jane loved watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears, as well as Notre Dame football. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

Survivors include four children: George Seiler of Peoria Heights, T.J. (Lynne) Seiler of Dunlap, Jane (Lisa Arnett) Seiler of Peoria, and Patty (Tom) Barton of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren: Adam, Zack, Patrick, and Michael Seiler, Mary, Tommy, and Maggie Barton; two great-grandchildren: Cameron and Brandon Seiler.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Jim and Lewis Kelly, two sisters: Jeanne Kenny and Alice Kelly and her son Kelly Seiler.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 between the hours of 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary.
