Obituary for Mary C Akers
Chillicothe- Mary C. Akers, 65, of Chillicothe, passed away into God’s hands on May 13, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center with her husband Robert, and her three sisters by her side.
Mary was a very loving mother to a special needs child, Brande, 30 years old when she found Heavens’ Gate in 2010.
Also preceding Mary in death were two brothers, Mike and Robert Lovan.
Surviving is her husband Robert, brother William Lovan; and two sisters, Brenda Jackson and Debbie Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary worked as a recycling specialist for Peoria County.
She enjoyed her work.
Mary was a generous, but quietly giving person, who loved her Catholic faith.
She was a great supporter of live music.
Mary was loved by so many people from all walks of life.
She will be greatly missed by many.
I believe she will be dancing in Heaven soon with our daughter.
A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, 11 AM, May 19, 2022 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe.
Fr. Matthew Deptula will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rome, IL.
