Obituary for Mary Ann Fricke
Edwards-Mary Ann Fricke, 50, of Edwards, IL passed away on February 22, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Washington, MO on August 23, 1966, the youngest child of the late Casper and Rose (Thuli) Lammers.
Mary was the loving wife of Lyle Fricke. They were united in marriage on August 11, 1990, at St. George Catholic Church in Hermann, MO.
In addition to her husband Lyle, Mary is survived by her children; Brandon (Jaclyn) of Bloomington, IN, and Katelyn, Collin, and Logan at home, and by brothers; James and Kenneth Lammers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dennis Lammers.
Mary received her RN in 1987 from St. Luke’s School of Nursing and her BSN from Webster University in 1989, both in St. Louis, MO. Mary worked as a cardiac nurse for 16 years, primarily at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, followed by Heartcare Midwest in Peoria, IL, last working in 2003. In pursuit of her passion for cooking and healthy eating, Mary became a sales representative for Wildtree and was promoted to Team Leader in 2011.
Mary’s main focus was on raising her family, and she was also an active member of St. Thomas Parish and School in Peoria Heights, IL. She was a room parent; she loved volunteering in all of her children’s numerous activities and generously giving her time and talents. She was a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 28 and active in Boy Scout Troop 28, in which all of her sons participated. She supported all four of her children in their scouting endeavors, as she recognized the profound importance and impact it has on their lives. She enjoyed traveling, history, and experiencing new things.
A visitation will be held for Mary on Saturday, February 25th, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM with a prayer service following at St. Thomas Parish in Peoria Heights, IL. Msgr Jason Gray will officiate.
In Hermann, MO, a visitation will take place at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home on February 28th, 2017. A funeral mass will be held at St. George Catholic Church on March 1st, 2017. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery in Hermann, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary A. Fricke Eagle Scout Scholarship Memorial, c/o Morton Community Bank, 4488 N Prospect Rd, Peoria Heights, IL 61616.
