Obituary for Mary A. "Mayme" Waugh
Lakeland, Fla. – Mary A. “Mayme” Waugh of Lakeland, Fla., formerly Peoria, passed away on Aug. 3, 2016, in Lakeland.
Born May 6, 1933, she was a daughter to the late Donald and Angeline (Dunn) Powell.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory one son, John M. Waugh of Hudson, Ill.; two daughters, Susan Sprague of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lynn Stephens of Peoria; seven grandchildren; as well as, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jack Waugh; and two sisters, Patricia Kinney and Donna Lane.
After retirement, Mary and Jack moved to Florida. Jack pursued his love of golf; and Mary pursued a new career in marketing at Disney World, where she was very proud and happy to be a Disney cast member.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father Thomas Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
