She returned to Peoria from Danville at the age of 83 when she retired.

Per Marilyn’s wishes, cremation rites have been performed. Instead of a formal visitation the family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service at the church. Burial will be Wednesday December 13 at 11:30 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, Danville, IL following a short service in the cemetery chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests memorial donations to the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation. Marilyn’s great-granddaughter, Taylor Peterson, is battling this debilitating disease.
