Marilie E. Pfeiffer, 60, of Peoria passed away at 4:10 a.m. on December 11, 2010 in Peoria. Marilie was born on September 21, 1950 in Chillicothe, Illinois, to Clyde and Marilyn (Brown) Martin. She married Gerald E. Pfeiffer on June 9, 1973, at Reynolds Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Gerry, and daughters, Amy Pfeiffer of Orlando, Florida; and Ann (Pfeiffer) Kube, son in law Dr. Richard Kube, of Peoria, and three grandchildren, Clare, Katie, and Richie Kube, all of Peoria. Her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Pfeiffer was a 1969 graduate of Illinois Valley Central High School and a 1973 graduate of Bradley University, with a degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Following her education, Marilie was a fourth grade teacher at St. Thomas the Apostle school in Peoria Heights for many years, and taught elsewhere previously. Since her retirement from teaching, Marilie has prided herself on being a “full time Grandma,” a job she took very seriously. Lake Ave., Peoria Heights, Illinois, 61616. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, 2416 N. North Street, Peoria, Illinois, 61604. Further visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 2520 Elisha Ave., Zion, Illinois, 60099 or to St. Thomas School. Tributes and condolences may be submitted to
