Obituary for Pegg Isbell
MARQUETTE HEIGHTS ~ Margaret “Pegg” Isbell, 63, of Marquette Heights, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
Pegg was born July 27, 1959 in Peoria to Joseph and Mary Ann (Pegg) Moehlenhof. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Moehlenhof and her infant sister, Mary Beth Moehlenhof.
Surviving are her daughter, Clair Isbell of Marquette Heights; her son, Matthew Isbell of Marquette Heights and her brother, John Moehlenhof of Johns Creek, Georgia. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She had last worked for CEFCU, retiring in 2021 after over 15 years of service.
Pegg enjoyed volunteering for the Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS) in Pekin, and had fostered many dogs and participated in their donation drives.
Her memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Father John Bazimenyera will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial of cremated remains will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society or to St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
