Obituary for Margaret Mary Coyle
Brimfield-Margaret Mary Coyle, age 91, of Brimfield, passed away at 11:20 AM on September 19, 2016 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria.
Born May 16, 1925 on the family farm in Monica, IL, a daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta (Megan) O’Conner. She graduated Princeville High School in 1944, and married the love of her life Eugene ‘Lefty’ Coyle on September 15, 1956 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Princeville. Margaret worked at Brimfield Bank retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the altar and rosary society. Margaret was a CCD teacher and an organist at her church for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother whom will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one son; Thomas (Kim) Coyle, one daughter; Patricia Olszewski, five grandchildren; Bradly (Lauren) Coyle, Carrie (Dustin) Smith, Mandy (Nic) Cotter, Matthew Olszewski, and Joseph Coyle, and five great-grandchildren, with another on the way in October.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 19, 1995, one brother Richard, one son-in-law Michael Olszewski, and one grandson Brian Coyle.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Brimfield. Fr. John Verrier will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Church. Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Further visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brimfield.
Memorials in Margaret’s name may be made to the Cemetery Fund at St. Joseph’s/Calvary in Brimfield.
