Obituary for Margaret Dixon
Peoria- Margaret Dixon, 79, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:17 p.m. at her residence.
Born February 28, 1938 in Cleveland, OH, to Patrick and Mary Scanlon Sweeney, she married Owen P. Dixon on April 4, 1959 in Cleveland, he passed away May 18, 2013 in FL. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
She is survived by six children, Margie (Don) Schoch of Peoria, Cheryl (Homer) Reese of Peoria Heights, Maureen (Jeff) Goett of Peoria Heights, Sandra (Jim) Sanchez of Poplar Bluff, MO, Owen (Kim) Dixon of Battle Creek, MI, and Dennis (Wendy) Dixon of Cape Coral, FL.; eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother also survive.
Marge was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and loved watching the grandchildren play their sporting events. She loved spending time with the “boys”.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel,with Msgr. Charles Beebe officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at the Mausoleum Chapel.
Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
