Obituary for Marcie J. Pillman

BRIMFIELD Marcie J. Pillman, 43, of Brimfield passed away unexpectedly at 10:36 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at UnityPoint Health Methodist Emergency Room.
Marcie was born on Nov. 1, 1971, in Peoria to Joseph C. and Betty L. (Ivey) Heinz. She married the love of her life, Richard Pillman, on Aug. 21, 1993, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kickapoo. He survives.
She is also survived by her parents of Kickapoo; children, Allison N. and Parker J. Pillman both of Brimfield; her sister, Ann (Michael) Brix of Kickapoo; and her brother, Peter (Johanna) Heinz of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Marianne Ivey and Delmar and Jen Heinz.
Marcie graduated from Dunlap High School, and then earned an Associates degree from Illinois Central College in early childhood development.
Marcie was a generous and loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her friends and family and supporting her children in the sports they played.
She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Kickapoo, Kickapoo Youth Baseball Board, Brimfield Booster Club, and Kickapoo Sportsmens Club. She was treasurer for the St. Jude Brimfield/Kickapoo Run and volunteered for St. Jude and the Kickapoo Baseball Association.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kickapoo. Father Joseph Dondanville will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at the St. Mary Parish Hall. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo. Wright Salmon Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to an educational fund for Marcies children c/o CEFCU or to the St. Jude Runners.
