When Sally was a recent graduate of St. Francis College of Nurses she served during the polio epidemic, assisted with the Red Cross and worked at St. Francis, Proctor and Bueller Homes before retiring. Mom used her faith and nursing skills to minister to family, friends and neighbors.

Dad surprised his country-girl with a membership to Timberlake Country Club which became a second home to the Coyle Clan where we camped, swam, fished, golfed and even celebrated several weddings.

She was an active member in her community and at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church serving as president of the Women’s Club, starting a community garden, and bringing holy communion to the homebound. Mom and dad devoted many hours of love and talent to the famous St. Bernard Bazaar Chicken Noodle Dinners.
