Obituary for Lisa Lucas Bartley
PEORIA – Lisa Lucas Bartley, 62, of Franklin, TN, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the presence of her family.
Lisa was born April 28, 1960, in Peoria, IL, to Ralph J. and Norma (Welch) Lucas. She married Stephen P. Bartley on December 27, 1985. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Caitlin (Patrick) Fauntleroy of Park Ridge, IL, Taryn (Lucas) Eichhorn of Chicago, IL, Jordan (Cody) Austell of Nashville, TN and one son, Lucas (Alex) Bartley of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hadley Fauntleroy, Conley Fauntleroy, Joshua Austell, Rosemary Austell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Linda Boston and Kristine Lower, one brother, Ralph Andrew Lucas and one niece.
Lisa graduated from Manual High School and worked in banking for First National Bank of Peoria before her children were born and First Capital Bank after her children were older. While in Peoria she was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, volunteering as a member of the Women’s Guild, Education Committee and as a cheerleading coach.
Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who focused her talents and energy on her family and their activities. She was also a trusted friend and confidant who always was there to listen, comfort and advise. Lisa never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. She had many friends who became family; adding many special people to her family's lives. She was also known for talking to anyone she met around town. Lisa will be remembered for her love of her family and friends, ever present Diet Coke, homemade chocolate chip cookies, fluffy white sweaters, her bright smile and beautiful blue eyes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 12, 2022, at St Philomena Catholic Church in Peoria, with an additional visitation one hour prior to Mass. Father David Richardson will officiate, and burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
