METAMORA - Linda Carol Foley, 59, of Metamora passed away at 7:58 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Linda was born on Aug. 26, 1955, in Kankakee, Ill., to Luther Rae and Mary (Green) Favors. She married Peter V. Foley on Aug. 29, 1998, in Kankakee. He survives. She is also survived by her mother of Manteno, Ill.; three children, Nicole (Brad) Jensen of Limestone, Amanda (Rob) Parchim of Saint Anne, Ill., and Colin J. Foley of Metamora; five grandchildren, Rebecca Jensen, Nicholas Jensen, Zachary Jensen, McKinley Parchim, and Mason Parchim; one brother, Don (Sandy) Favors of Lowell, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Charles. Linda worked as a librarian for the Herscher School District. She was a member and active volunteer for St. Mary Catholic Church in Metamora, helping in the school and library. She was also a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Linda was a total sport’s nut. She also had an avid love of reading and shared that love with the many children she had the privilege of knowing as a school librarian. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Metamora, with Fr. Gregory Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 29, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. An additional visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the Mass on Monday at the church.
