Obituary for Kevin L Henry
PEORIA ~ Kevin L. Henry, 52, of Peoria, passed away at 7:01 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his residence.
Born December 28, 1970 in Peoria to William J. and Nancy (Kataoka) Henry, he married Melissa Cooksey on September 11, 2004 in Door County. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his wife, Melissa Henry of Peoria; his mother, Nancy Henry of Peoria; one brother, Troy Stringer of Peoria; and one sister, Kitty Henry of Pekin.
Kevin had worked as a Registered Nurse for all three area hospitals and was most recently employed by Heartis Health Care. While working for OSF St. Francis Medical Center, he received the Daisy Award.
Kevin cherished time spent with his family and friends. He played the trumpet and loved going to concerts. He also enjoyed cooking and playing golf.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Wright & Salmon Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
