Obituary for Kathleen Dougherty
Peoria- Kathleen V. Dougherty, 81, passed away, in Peoria, on Tuesday, October 4, 2106, 5:22 PM, at her residence.

She was born October 6, 1934 in St. Louis, MO, to Lee and Anne McNally Ogden. Kathleen first married Robert O. Smith who passed away. In October 23, 1996, she married Gerald “Jerry” Dougherty in Peoria. He survives along with one daughter, Debra Powell of Fort Worth, TX, one brother; James “Jimmy” (Cheryl) Ogden of Pahrump, NV., five stepchildren; Denny Dougherty, Tim Dougherty, Douglas (Phyllis) Dougherty, Brian (Kelly) Dougherty, Pat (Denise) Dougherty, seven step-grandchildren; Jimmie, Amie, Tara, Ryne, Brianna, Morgan, and Tyler, and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Kathleen was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Francis Ogden and one sister, Maureen Nizzia.

Kathleen worked as a Police Dispatcher at the Peoria Police Department from 1961 until she retired in 1994. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father James Pallardy will officiate. There will be a Celebration of Life following the mass at Kelleher’s Irish Pub and Eatery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish or the American Lung Association.
